What is the purpose of your invention?
To save the oceans and keep them clean. My invention will also help free animals from cages and nets.

How does your invention work?
My invention has a knife so it can cut nets to save trapped marine life. It also have propellers so it can move around and cameras to look around and a grabber hand to grab garbage. It is controlled by a mobiel app called “Sea Saver” which has an AI button to let the robot work by itself, which will be available on all mobile and electronic devices.

What are the main components/features of your invention?
The main components of my Robot Ocean Saver include a knife, a grabber hand, propellers, a camera and an app.

What does your invention look like?

How do you think you could measure the impact of your project?
If the Robot Ocean Saver is bringing back the garbage to the correct place we know it is working. We will also know that the Robot Ocean Saver is doing its job because the camera will show that it is in the proper area. If the ocean has less garbage and the animals are safe and free we will know our Robot Ocean Saver is working.

What issues inspired your invention?
- Plastic pollution in the ocean
- Marine life population is decreasing because of humans catching and eating them every day
- Animals are affected by plastic pollution because they can get trapped in the plastic or eat microplastics which can clog their lungs or stomach.
This is important because if humans keep doing this then some marine species might go extinct! The toxins and microplastics from plastic pollution that gets into the ocean can also be bad for humans because we might eat the marine life that has eaten these toxins and microplastics.

What can people every day do to help with these issues?
First, never throw garbage in the oceans. After you are done washing your hands or using water make sure to turn it off to make sure you don’t waste water. You can also volunteer to help clean the oceans at an ocean clean-up. We can also reduce our single-use plastic and use reusable items instead; it will make sure that a little bit less plastic will be dumped in the ocean.
